Instructions for Designing Your Very Own Shirt

 

Photo Shirt

 

Designing a shirt is simple, easy and fun! The best part is that it is one of a kind.

 

1. Take a picture with your digital camera.
2. Save the photograph on your computer in a file you can easily find.
3. Go do dapplz.com website

 

Easy, right. Next . . .

 

1. On the home page, at the top, click on Apparel. 
2. In the left hand column, choose the type of apparel you want to purchase.  For example if you are looking for a Toddler T shirt click on Toddler and scroll to find T shirt. Click on T shirt.
   
3. You should now see a sample of a plain toddler T shirt (or the type of shirt you want to purchase).
4. Upload the photograph you have just saved in your computer by using the browse button.  Once found, click Open (or double click on the file). Hit Upload and wait a few seconds for your picture to appear on the shirt. If you have problems with the upload see below section on digital photos.
   
5. Remember to pick the size and color of the shirt.  White works best for photographs!

Adding a Message to a Photo Shirt 

At this point, to add a one line message with your photograph simply leave us a message at checkout after you fill out your name and address on the form. Messages will be printed in our default font of Arial but you may choose from the following colors:  brown, red, navy, green. It will default to black if a color is not indicated. Also indicate placement of message either above or below the picture.  The default placement is below.

 

Digital Photos

 

We love to work with digital photos especially in jpeg format.  Our website is designed to upload your .jpeg photos.  Photo file size in jpeg format can be up to 10 MB. However, a large file size may take too long to upload and your internet connection may get timed out.  If you are not sure how to resize, just send us an email and we will be able to tell you if we can use your file. You can also email us your photos that have the following file extensions: .tif, .gif, .eps and .psd. Be aware that if your file size is too small, enlargement may cause poor image quality.

 

 

Personal Designs

                   

Do you have your own design you want on a shirt?  Follow steps 1-5 above, skipping step 4 if your design is not saved as a jpeg.  In this case, you will have to email us your art work.  On the purchase page indicate to us that you will be sending us your design, how you will be sending it and if there are any one line messages you want with it.  You can write to us in the Additional Messages area at checkout. Text Message (Words On A Shirt)

 

All you want is words on a shirt?  That is fine.  We can do that too.  Follow steps 1-5 above, skipping step 4.  For a one line or two line message simply type it in at the checkout under Additional Messages after filling out your name and address. Messages will be printed in our default font of Arial but you may choose from the following colors:  red, navy, green. It will default to black if a color is not indicated. Business Logos

 

Advertise your business wherever you go!  Put your business logo on a shirt.  Look professional in a polo shirt or purchase the employees some T shirts.  We cater to small businesses and will do 1, 2 or as many as you need in all sizes.  Colors are limited to white and light colors such as grey, blue and yellow.  We can put small logos on the front of the shirt over the heart and bigger logos on the back. Artwork Information

 

If the artwork is hand done the old fashioned way with pencils, crayons or markers, etc. you can scan the artwork and email it to us. Scan at 150 to 200 dpi and keep the file size below 1.5 MB.  This will produce the best results and allow for a manageable file size.

 

OR you can fax or mail us the artwork.

 

If the artwork was done in an art or vector based computer program such as Corel Draw, simply send us your .cdr file or .eps file.

 

OR we can create artwork for you.  There will be an additional charge but we are happy to help. In fact we strive to be helpful.

 

 

Proofs

 

We will send you a proof of the artwork via email for your approval BEFORE production begins. We want to get it right the first time. Once we get your OK, we will create your shirt and mail it the same day.

 

Copyright

 

We cannot print or reproduce any copyrighted material.  For example if you would like a Disney character on a shirt, we simply cannot do it.  Copyright law states that once a creative expression is fixed in a tangible medium, no one else can copy it.

 

Trademark

 

We cannot print or reproduce any trademarks.  Trademarks are protected by law. For instance Dunkin Donuts has great coffee but we cannot put their cup logo on your shirt.

 

Prohibited Content

 

This is a family run business so keep it clean.  We will not reproduce the following:

 

• Copyrighted Material
• Trademarked Material
• Nude photographs
• Celebrity photos
• Vulgar Language

 

We reserve the right to refuse to print any design or saying that is considered to be in poor taste or offensive.
